..In a truly witty and whimsical interpretation of sportswear, French designer
Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has taken his ode to pop culture and immortalized it with his latest collection. JC/DC's 4oth year (longevity!!!!) has brought him to play with Felix the Cat, Tweety birds, Snoopy, and hearts all set in the backdrop of fluorescent tomato. Never had i seen such a powerful color dominate a collection(much like Viktor and Rolf's genius use of canary yellow on their latest collection). British grime scene elite and Parisian streetwear kids alike fell in love with the pieces immediately...

..For those interested to know, the JC rose to fame in the seventies when he designed for Farrah Fawcett at the height of her Charlie’s Angels fame and made the massive inflatable poncho coat of teddybears worn by Madonna in the film PrĂȘt -a-Porter. Also interesting: their very cute website with it’s YouTubed Kittyfornia character. Check it out...
